You Can Hate Your Life Situation, But Don’t Hate Your Life

Plain and simple; the life we live is not the same as our life situation.

That may come across as contradictory so let me break this down.

We’re married, we’re divorced, we lost our job, we were abused, we won the lottery, we have a beautiful family of 8, or whatever else we can possibly think of to create a picture of our own or someone else’s “life”. These are descriptions that some of us may use as pieces that come together to create what makes up our “life”.

However, only our life situation is something that can be described.

And often you’ll hear people say “I hate my life”, “my life sucks”, “fuck my life”. But what we should be saying if we do feel the need to express some frustration with our current state is; “I hate my life situation right now”.

Life is not something that can be described and certainly not ever a thing we should hate.

Because cut and dry, life is life and it cannot be anything except for…. life. Nothing more and nothing less than the beautiful sensation of energy coursing through our bodies. No matter what is happening in our life situation at this current moment, our life is still just as strong and beautiful as it ever will be.

Life is untouched by circumstance.

You can be 5 million dollars in debt, going through a terrible divorce and have a dozen of friends that have broken your trust… but magically you can still have a wonderful, beautiful, life. You are alive and that is the magic that cannot be altered for if it is, we are dead…. and that would be a whole other issue wouldn’t it lol?

It absolutely breaks my heart to hear people misuse these two very different phrases. Especially when the people using phrases like “I hate my life” are young children.

Next time you hear someone else use this phrase or you catch yourself about to say it out of a bad habit, remind them, or yourself that you may hate your life situation right now, but you love the life that you get to live each day.

The beautiful thing about hating a life situation is that you can change them in most cases or if not, at least change the attitude you have towards them.

Now that’s important. Spread some light today.

Love,

  1. EXACTLY! hate your life situation not your life. Most times individually we place ourselves in the situations or thought patterns on our own accord, then we hate life, life’s situation. by placing judgement onto others or judgement by what we may or may not know puts us there as well. I concur, “hate your life situation not your life.”

Most of us hated the names we were given or the way we looked when we were younger; caring braces and elastics in our mouths to straighten whats naturally occurring, but yet everyone thought we were beautiful or handsome, just the same life was still fun regardless, forget if you choose. “Hate your life situation not your life”

Suicide is something that occurs statistically quite frequently and has become a problem for lots of people, of all ages. This is a true “hate your life situation not your life. We get lost in ourselves however and forget the precious moments our lives are precious like a last growing beautiful flower sticking out of the dirt, the only life around.

Our minds are a powerful tool and it shouldn’t be messed with or underestimated. we place ourselves in these situations either intentionally or not realising we are doing it to ourselves. I concur…

“The beautiful thing about hating a life situation is that you can change them in most cases or if not, at least change the attitude you have towards them.”

  2. May the sun bring you new energy by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night,
May the rain wash away your worries,
May the breeze blow new strength into your being,
May you walk gently through and know its beauty all the days of your life
